Product Story
Sage (or Anatolian sage) specific to the Eastern Mediterranean region, especially in Turkey and Greece that grows naturally, is a perennial plant. It looks quite different from medicinal sage (S. officinalis) and musk sage (S. sclarea) because it has three leaves (tri-loba) and an apple-like fruit. This is the main reason why its essential oil is often referred to as "apple oil" in the Aegean and Mediterranean.
It is known that sage has been used since ancient times for many purposes such as treating snake bites, increasing fertility in women, removing evil from homes, and the Romans believed that it treated almost everything. Today, there are many cultures that are still burned as incense and used to expel bad energy from the environment. Sage, which is a popular medicine in traditional medicine and used as a spice, is mostly consumed as tea in Anatolia and Greece.
Studies have shown that sage essential oil has antimicrobial, antibacterial, antifungal and antioxidant properties, as well as perception enhancing effects such as enhancing memory, stimulating the senses and delaying age-related perception disorders.
