Why Brass:
Brass is the general name of dense and durable alloys obtained by adding zinc to copper.
Brass was discovered in the first half of the first millennium BC.
In Arabic, copper is called "nuhas" and copper-tin (bronze) alloy is called "surf"; The words "Shabah" and "Nuhas Asfar" are also used for the copper-zinc (brass) alloy.

It is derived from the word "Shabaha", which means "Mine That Looks Like Gold". The Romans used to place relief brass plates with the coats of arms of members of the royal dynasty on the tomb. 
Most of them have survived to the present day. These were made by hammering, and some patterns were embroidered on them. When silver and gold brought from the New World replaced brass in the production of decorative items, brass began to be used in the production of items such as chandeliers, candlesticks, walls and sundials.
